Miteinander für den Schutz des Lebens unterwegs
Erzbischof Stephan Burger hat den 26 katholischen Schwangerschaftsberatungsstellen (KSB) in der Erzdiözese für ihren wichtigen Dienst gedankt und ihnen formal die kirchliche Anerkennung ausgesprochen. Er sei "froh und dankbar" dafür, dass man miteinander in einem Netzwerk für den Schutz des Lebens unterwegs sei", betonte er bei der Konferenz der Trägervertreter*innen des Sozialdienst katholischer Frauen (SkF) und der Caritas Anfang Juli in Freiburg. Der engagierte Einsatz von über 80 Beraterinnen zeige, so Erzbischof Burger, dass die Kirche für das Leben steht.
Vorausgegangen war eine Prüfung der Beratungsstellen in Form eines Fachgesprächs mit den Fachreferentinnen für Schwangerschaftsberatung im Auftrag des Erzbischofs, wie in den Bischöflichen Richtlinien aus dem Jahr 2000 (Paragraf 14) festgelegt. Dabei konnten die Referentinnen Sabine Triska (Diözesan-Caritasverband) und Petra Rieder-Link (SkF) feststellen, dass die Träger in allen Punkten die Vorgaben erfüllen und vor Ort den kirchlichen Auftrag mit hoher Fachlichkeit und Überzeugung ausführen. Die Beratungen zum Schutz des Lebens von Mutter und Kind erfolgen ganzheitlich und mit hoher Wertschätzung und Empathie für die spezifischen Situationen der Ratsuchenden und ihrer Familien.
Nah dran an der Lebenswirklichkeit von Familien
Im Schnitt erreichen die katholischen Schwangerschaftsberatungsstellen in der Erzdiözese Freiburg rund 10.000 Ratsuchende jährlich. Bei den Fachgesprächen, an der Träger- und Fachebene der örtlichen Beratungsstellen teilnahmen, wurden die Lebenswirklichkeit von Schwangeren und Familien, sowie die vielfältigen Veränderungen und Fragestellungen die mit Schwangerschaft, Geburt und Elternschaft verbunden sind, angesprochen. Insbesondere die Klärung von sozialrechtlichen Ansprüchen war auch im Jahr 2021 in über 70 Prozent der jährlich fast 30.000 Beratungen ein wichtiges Thema. Für die Antragstellungen zum Beispiel von Elterngeld wünschen sich viele Ratsuchende Unterstützung, um eine gute Lösung für ihr künftiges Familienleben zu finden.
Untrennbar damit verbunden sind Fragestellungen zur Vereinbarkeit von Beruf und Familie. Wie werden die Rollen künftig verteilt sein, wenn zur Partnerschaft die Elternschaft kommt? Und natürlich auch: Reicht das Geld? In rund 60 Prozent war die finanzielle Situation der Ratsuchenden ein Thema in den Beratungen. Im Prüfungszeitraum der Anerkennung deutlich geprägt durch die Pandemie, die Minijobs wegbrechen ließ oder die Berufstätigkeit durch eingeschränkte Kinderbetreuung erschwert hat. Ein ohnehin knappes Budget kommt hier schnell in Schieflage. Die Beantragung und Vermittlung von Stiftungsleistungen durch die Berater*innen kann hier unterstützen und eine oft existenzielle Not lindern. Rund 4.000 Anträge wurden in 2021 gestellt.
Wie bei allen staatlich anerkannten Beratungsstellen ist die Bundesstiftung für Mutter und Kind die wichtigste Stiftung, um Schwangere und Familien zu unterstützen. Der Bischofsfonds der Erzdiözese, der Schwangere und junge Familien über die Schwangerschaftsberatungsstellen unterstützt, ist ebenfalls ein wichtiger Pfeiler bei der Versorgung von Familien, die manchmal durch jedes Raster gefallen sind und es an allem fehlt. Alle Beratungsstellen haben in den Gesprächen ihre Dankbarkeit für die Verfügbarkeit der Leistungen aus dem Bischofsfonds betont. Die Verbindung, das Hand-in-Hand, von konkreter (finanzieller) Unterstützung und psychosozialer Beratung und Begleitung ist ein essentielles Qualitätsmerkmal des Fachdienstes zum Wohle der ratsuchenden Frauen und Familien.
Erreichbar in Krisen und in der Krise
Durch die Infektionslage haben sich viele Schwangere und junge Familien die Frage gestellt: Wie kann ich mich und mein Kind vor gesundheitlichen Risiken schützen? Hier fangen die Beratungsstellen teilweise den bestehenden Hebammenmangel auf oder helfen bei der Vermittlung von Hebammenhilfen. In einigen Beratungsstellen gibt es regelmäßig stattfindende Hebammensprechstunden, um auch Frauen zu versorgen, die keine eigene Hebamme gefunden haben.
Die Berater*innen konnten in den Gesprächen die vielschichtigen, immer komplexer werdenden Not- und Konfliktsituationen verdeutlichen, die mit der Familiengründung oft verbunden sind. Neben dem Konflikt einer ungeplanten Schwangerschaft bringen gesellschaftliche und politische Veränderungen, der medizinische Fortschritt mit erweiterten Untersuchungs- und Testmöglichkeiten, die Entwicklungen der Reproduktionsmedizin und nicht zuletzt der versagte Wunsch nach einem Kind Ratsuchende oft in existenzielle Entscheidungssituationen. In den Gesprächen konnten auf die Chancen der psychosozialen Beratung und Begleitung, die in den bischöflichen Richtlinien festgehalten sind, eingegangen werden. Es wurde deutlich, dass die katholischen Beratungsstellen im Auftrag der Kirche Ratsuchende auch bei Fragen zu Sexualität und Familienplanung, Pränataldiagnostik, bei Kinderwunsch oder nach Schwangerschaftsabbruch beraten, informieren und verlässlich zur Seite stehen.
Auch während der Corona-Pandemie sind die Beratungsstellen jederzeit erreichbar gewesen. Hilfreich war in diesem Zusammenhang das bereits über 20 Jahre bestehende Onlineangebot der KSB in Form von Chat und Mailberatung. In den vergangenen Jahren wurde das Angebot komplett modernisiert und durch einen Video-Call ergänzt. Die KSB-Stellen der Erzdiözese können konzeptionell fundiert Blended Counseling anbieten und aus unterschiedlichen Beratungssettings wählen. Um die Erreichbarkeit auch in Zukunft leisten zu können ist es unerlässlich, dass der Beratungsdienst auch für junge Menschen attraktiv bleibt und in der digitalen Beratungslandschaft präsent ist. Die Verantwortung dafür liegt bei allen Ebenen, die mit der katholischen Schwangerschaftsberatung befasst sind.
Bei der Veranstaltung in der Katholischen Akademie bedankte sich Erzbischof Stefan Burger nachdrücklich bei den anwesenden Trägern und Leitungsverantwortlichen der Beratungsstellen, die den kirchlich so wichtigen Auftrag umsetzen. Statt Prüfung wollte er gerne von "gegenseitiger Vergewisserung" sprechen, um deutlich zu machen, dass die Schwangerschaftsberatungsstellen und die Erzdiözese gemeinschaftlich den Fokus auf die Unterstützung und Begleitung von Schwangeren und Familien legen.
Die stattgefundenen Fachgespräche wurden von den Beteiligten als fachlich unterstützend und wertschätzend empfunden. Nach Empfehlung und Wunsch des Erzbischofs werden diese künftig, wie in den Richtlinien festgelegt, alle drei Jahre stattfinden.
